Hi-Dee-Hi Oasis Downtown Families,

It’s been another great week at camp! Campers learned about different types of Asian and Middle Eastern foods, animals, and other cultural aspects, creating original songs and learning dances. They also worked on their skills and drills in sports, games, and soccer! In addition to all the fun at sports and the creative arts, our Early Start Imagination Camp (ESIC) campers enjoyed making Chinese paper lanterns and dragons! We would like to thank our families who donated and sponsored our Team Fox Events. For our Fitness-A-Thon, campers did a total of 4,000 jumping jacks, 4,000 toe touches and 3000 sit ups! During our Swim-A-Thon, did a total of 150 head bobs, 455 laps, and 35 minutes of kicking! All proceeds from the events will go to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. Swimming lessons are going great as more campers are moving up in swim levels! Swimming evaluations will be distributed next Friday.

Next week is Color War, a week of sportsmanship, teamwork, and friendship! Camp will be split into the Green and Blue teams, with friendly competitions and activities all week. All leading up to our Special Event, a Blue VS Green Spirit Sing-Off! Join us in the auditorium on Friday, August 12 at 2:00 PM for special team performances.
