This new program, for children entering 5th, 6th, and 7th grade, combines introductory travel experiences two days a week and all the onsite camp activities kids love three days a week. It’s truly the best of both worlds with appropriate summer camp programming for middle school students.
The Junior Teen Travel Explorer program features fun trips to local destinations every Tuesday and Thursday. Kids will get a sneak peek of what the Oasis Teen Travel program is like while they discover new places and form lifelong friendships.
Trips will vary by location but could include outings to amusement parks and aquariums, bowling and pizza parties, and going rock climbing or riding go karts. All day trips are chaperoned by one adult to every five children, and will have a senior trip leader on the bus who is First Aid/CPR certified.
And when the kids aren’t traveling, they get to participate in their favorite Oasis activities. Summer camp for middle school students includes magical weeks of fun exploring the natural woodlands, swimming, and playing soccer, tennis and basketball. Campers can also let their creativity shine by partaking in arts and crafts, theater, music and dance.
Junior Teen Travel Explorer is an optional program for 5th, 6th, and 7th graders, and costs an additional $50 per week to cover transportation and admission. Campers can enroll for one week, all six weeks, or any combination in between. You can review tentative schedules on the Dobbs Ferry and LIU Post Director’s Corner blog.
Dobbs Ferry Junior Explorer trips will depart at 9:30am from Mercy College and return before 4pm. LIU Post trips will also depart at 9:30am from LIU Post University and return before 4pm.
Our Junior Teen Travel Explorer program combines excitement, summer camp spirit, and experiences middle school students will remember forever. For more information contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com.
