Every day at Oasis children participate in a wide range of activities. The day is divided into 4 activities separated by a Morning Rally, Lunch and a Snack / Goodbye session.
Each exciting activity ranges from:
- Arts and Crafts (mask making with plaster, dance, music drama)
- Sports and Recreation (juggling, ball games)
- Outdoor Education (scavenger hunts, nature bingo, orienteering, map and compass, hiking and exploring)
- Swimming (recreational & instructional taught by our own Oasis Red Cross Certified instructors)
8:30-9am - Morning Drop Off
9:00-9:30 - Morning Rally - morning announcements, special shout outs, who drank the most water, birthdays and of course the OASIS camp CHEER!
9:30-11:00 - Activity 1
11:00-12:30 - Activity 2
12:30-1:00 - Lunch.
Lunch at Oasis is a great time for children to spend time with their friends and the Oasis staff. Lunch is our version of "free time".
1:30-3:00 - Activity 3
3:00-4:30 - Activity 4
4:30-5:30 - Snack and Goodbye
Each week, we go on a field trip to take advantage of everything the city has to offer! Fields trips have included Bronx Zoo, local beaches, Queens Hall of Science, baseball games and aquariums.
* This typical day outline applies to all Oasis programs other than the short day Downtown and the Teen Travel program in Central Park.
