Teen Travel

About the Program

Our Teen Travel program is for young adventurers going into the seventh, eight, and ninth grade (approx. 12-14 years old). Spending the summer at Oasis gives these teens the opportunity to form lasting friendships, while creating amazing memories that will last a lifetime. Oasis' Teen Travel program is both enriching and fun; an excellent opportunity for young adventurers to broaden their horizons. With Oasis Teen Travel, travelers find themselves on an exciting adventure every day. Teens will explore museums, visit area beaches, go to baseball games, amusement parks, enjoy interactive workshops with talented professionals, and more!

Teen Travel campers also participate in community service projects that teach them the value of giving back to their communities. Teens leave Oasis with a new appreciation for their surroundings, as well as learning new skills and forming meaningful friendships. The skills they attain in this program can be applied in all aspects of their lives and will help them become stronger, more invested leaders both in school and in their communities.

Teen Travel also includes overnight camp excursions and late-night socials! During overnights campers sing songs around the camp fire, make s'mores, and sleep under the stars!

During evening events our teens eat, dance, and socialize with friends both new and old.

Themes & Trips

Each week trips are organized around a theme, allowing travelers to choose what interests them most. Although minimum enrollment is two weeks, in Teen Travel weeks DO NOT need to be consecutive!

Time & Travel

Oasis operates Monday through Friday from 9am-5pm. Teen Travelers generally depart for their daily trips at 9:30am and arrive back at camp by 4pm.* Families can drop off directly at the camp site beginning at 8:30am and pick up by 5:30pm. Travelers are allowed to leave on their own if a sighed permission slip is provided by their parent or guardian.

All trips are taken on professionally-driven, air-conditioned buses.

Oasis bus service features pick-up and drop-off stops at a number of convient locations in select neighborhoods at an additional cost.*

*Over the summer a number of trips will either leave before 9:30am or arrive back at camp after 4:30pm. This will be clearly communicated in the schedule and by your Teen Travel Director. Oasis bus service to and from camp is not available on these days!

Food & Money

Travelers bring their lunches from home in non-disposable, soft containers which are kept in coolers until lunch time. While travelers may bring money on trips there is often is not enough time to purchase food! During overnights & certain late evenings, food will be provided.

Be A Leader In Training

When you have completed your time in Teen Travel, you don't have to be done with Oasis! With out Leader in Training (LIT) program, teens going into the tenth and eleventh grades can begin working in camp. As an LIT, teens spend part of their time honing their skills by working with younger campers. The rest of their time is filled with leadership and team building workshops. The lessons that LITs learn are ones that they'll take with them into all aspects of life! Contact us at leaderintraining@oasischildren.com for more details!
