GROUP LEADERSHIP IN YOUTH PROGRAMMING COURSE
Earn 4 College Credits This Summer While You Earn Money!
Oasis is far more enriching than an ordinary summer camp experience. Members of the Oasis team work with children in a fun, outdoor environment and have the opportunity to develop professional expertise in areas ranging from education to management. In fact, college students can earn up to four college credits for their participation in the Oasis Professional Development Program.
Members of the Oasis team participate in an ongoing summer course named Group Leadership in Youth Programming (G.L.Y.P).
The course begins during the three day orientation and continues throughout the summer. Over the course of the summer participants attend 8 hours of class time. There is a small amount of outside reading and participants are asked to keep a journal. Oasis will supply all course materials. If participants intend to apply for college credit, they will also have to take a final exam.
Only 8 hours of classroom time in collaboration with working at an Oasis Program.
