Oasis Children's Services Announces Summer Day Camp Program at Southern New Hampshire University

Oasis Day Camp for Children Ages 4 to 14 Offers Weeks of Fun

NEW YORK, N.Y., January 20, 2011 – Located at scenic Southern New Hampshire University, Oasis Children’s Services summer day camp in Manchester will provide children with an abundance of outdoor and indoor activities, and extended hours for full days of fun. For 10 years, Oasis Children’s Services has provided children with a summer camp experience filled with traditional arts and recreational activities. Children are challenged while building friendships, embracing diverse experiences and learning new skills.

“Our summer camp program allows kids to enjoy summer like it should be experienced – with loads of recreational and creative activities enjoyed with new friends,” said Bernie Tessler, CEO of Oasis Children’s Services. “Oasis prides itself on our low child-to-counselor ratio to make the summer memorable and safe, where children can feel comfortable making new friends, learning new skills, and building life-long relationships.”

The Oasis Manchester location will open for seven weeks, beginning June 27, 2011, at Southern New Hampshire University’s rural campus. The university offers hundreds of spacious acres giving way to athletic fields, tennis courts, an athletic/recreational complex featuring two gyms, a six-lane swimming pool, a racquetball court, and a dance studio for the youth to enjoy.

“Southern New Hampshire University is thrilled to have Oasis Children’s Services and its campers at our Manchester location this summer,” said Gregg Mazzola, director of marketing. “SNHU offers first-class facilities in an idyllic New England setting that will give campers an amazing summer experience and memories to last a lifetime.”

Oasis campers learn the values of teamwork and camaraderie through an array of outdoor and indoor activities including sports and recreation, visual and performing arts, swimming, and arts and craft.  Instructional swimming is also offered at no additional cost.

Oasis’ comprehensive, traditional summer day camp experience also accommodates parents’ hectic lifestyles, Oasis Manchester’s daily 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. schedule includes early drop-off and late pick-up times at a nominal fee. Bus transportation to and from camp from a number of convenient locations is also offered at an additional weekly fee. Families can enroll children for a minimum of two consecutive weeks, a maximum of seven weeks, or a combination.

Oasis’ highly-trained counselors encourage campers to be leaders through peer group activities, and to express their creativity. Oasis Manchester is staffed by well-trained counselors who are accomplished educators, teachers, youth development and after school program leaders, and college students.

Oasis Children’s Services conforms to the rigid standards of The American Camp Association (ACA) and has earned approval, a two-year process, on most sites. A testament to the quality summer camps run by Oasis, just 20 percent of all camps in the U.S. are granted ACA approval.
