Director's Note- Heat Advisory

Dear Oasis Families,

Welcome to Week 5.  We are so excited about our Talent Show Week!!!  There is so much going on this week including the Family Event Talent Show on Thursday at 2:30.  Lenape is headed to the Tully Cup which is a huge camp wide undertaking.  With that said, the weather forecast for the week is calling for very hot and humid conditions. I wanted to send you this message to let you know that we will be monitoring the temperatures throughout the day and will provide activities out of the sun as well as extended time indoors. I ask you to please make sure to apply a thick coat of sunscreen in the morning and make sure your camper has a water bottle. We will be even more diligent in making sure that everyone is protected from the sun and hydrated. As a rule, when the temperature reaches 90 degrees, we will modify activities to make sure to avoid any dangerous conditions. Oasis is creating a contingency activity plan for Tully Cup that will limit sun and heat exposure throughout the day.  It is our number one priority to make sure your children are safe.  If and when alternate plans are necessary, we will make sure to let you know.  As every cloud has a silver lining, the weather will give us even more of an opportunity to practice for our Talent Show.  If you have any questions, please feel free to email or call.

We look forward to another amazing week and to seeing you all on Thursday at the Talent Show.

-Jim
