Good Grief, This Week's Turned Itself Inside Out

Hi Dee Hi Campers and Families:

Good Grief, it certainly has been a Week 4 for the ages, as our children meet the midway point of our summer with a grasp of all emotions.

Division 1 kicked things of by making emojis to express their many feelings, while our older divisions made core memory trees with Ashley in the art tent and literally wore their emotions on their sleeves for the week. We prepped ourselves for both the Spirit Cup and next week's extravagant annual Tully Cup, (more on that later...just know for now that It's Not Easy Being Green). Division 4 left us with a bit of Sadness as they departed for the Bronx Zoo, but returned with tall tales of lions and tigers and bears, oh my.

While Division 4 was making new furry friends and core memories in Da Bronx, Divisions 1 through 3 were treated with a visit from Charlie Brown and all of his friends. A live show of Charlie, Lucy, Linus, Sally, and Snoopy brought down the house, and the children were rewarded by a meet and greet from the staff, as well as ice pops for both performers and audience. The festivities continued for our ESIC campers who then held a Pokemon scavenger hunt, (capturing Pigeon), and a tea party, complete with popcorn, animal crackers, cupcakes, and juices.

Not to be outdone, our older divisions enjoyed the dips in the pool with Tom and his staff, scored a few goals against Mary on the soccer field, knocked a few homeruns against Sophia and Korey, and sang the time away with Brenda. We are a few hours away from our annual barbecue, and we hope those can attend will be able to see us and our new friends, and maybe some old familiar faces as well. In either case, we'll throw another burger on the barbie for you until you get here, and if you can't, we wish you a happy and safe weekend. While we are a bit sad that the first half of the summer is coming to an end, we are very happy that we have a second half to look forward to with these children. This is why we do what we do, and we want to thank you for giving us the opportunity.

Hope to see you later today. If not, we'll catch up with you soon enough. As for that Tully Cup of green for Tuesday...
