Oasis Day Camp is situated in Manhattan’s iconic Central Park on the Upper West Side.
In partnership with the Central Park Conservancy Oasis provides children with a fantastic opportunity to play and learn in the great outdoors without ever leaving Manhattan.
By working side-by-side with the Central Park Conservancy we are given sole access to the best that the Park has to offer.
From basketball courts, baseball and athletic fields in the North Meadow section of the park, to bucolic green spaces, steams, ponds, and hiking trails from 93rd to 110th streets, there’s no question about it, Central Park is our camp. But we are more than just this amazing outdoor wonderland.
Our premier athletic facilities also include the Randalls Island Athletic complex, the site of some of the finest athletic fields in New York City. These manicured fields are the home to both private and public school athletic departments, as well as a venue used for high school interscholastic athletic contests during the academic year. The use of these fields will allow us to expand and enhance our athletic program. These sport specific fields will serve as a home for our Upper Camp Sports Plus program. Located a short bus ride from the BASIS Independent Manhattan School, campers will have the opportunity to take advantage of this facility at least 2 days per week during their stay at camp.
Our indoor facilities are second to none. Located in the BASIS Independent Manhattan Schooll on Columbus Ave. at 99th Street, Oasis Day Camp’s indoor facilities include a modern gymnasium, state-of-the art black box theatre, spacious classrooms and commons areas, and even a roof-top terrace complete with a vegetable garden, Koi pond and even a chicken coop!
All of these indoor facilities are air-conditioned and offer a wonderful respite on rainy or super hot days.
Whether we’re inside or outside, our facilities are yet another aspect making Oasis a premier camp!
