Outdoor Adventure – The Great Outdoors Come to Life!

Adventure activities are designed to help campers develop confidence, leadership, and camaraderie.

Moreover, campers learn an appreciation for nature.  The Oasis experience truly comes alive when our campers challenge themselves to try activities they have never done before.

Where Individuality & Teamwork go Hand-in-Hand!

Whether it’s hiking, orienteering, or exploring, campers have the opportunity to challenge themselves individually while also working together as a team with a common goal…all the while building friendships, self-esteem and confidence!

Oasis at LIU Post campers will be able to take part in horseback riding this summer at North Shore Equestrian Center. North Shore Equestrian Center is one of the oldest facility of its kind on Long Island. It has been operating for over forty years at LIU Post. This facility also has one of the largest indoor arenas on Long Island. The North Shore Equestrian Center is thoroughly maintained by a team of experienced horse trainers, and staff. The campers, at any level of ability, may participate by taking lessons on school horses, where they learn the basics and gain confidence with experience North Shore Equestrian Center staff.

Horseback riding is available for campers entering the 1st through 6th grade for an additional $225 a week, per child. Campers will participate in horseback riding activities 3 times a week, for one hour a day. Parents must supply a helmet, boots, and riding pants on riding days.
