Oasis incorporates experiential education, arts activities and sports
and recreation into
school-based enrichment programs that support learning while giving
children
opportunities to experience the joys and rewards of traditional summer
camp.
Oasis offers both full-day and half-day Summer Enrichment Programs
• Full-Day Programs
Our full-day programs run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and typically
include
weekly trips and a full instructional swim program where possible. Oasis
handles every aspect of program execution including:
• Half-Day Programs
Our half-day programs are an excellent complement to remedial academic
summer
school programs that operate in the morning. Oasis boosts morning attendance
by giving children something to look forward to and by solving a childcare
problem for working parents. We also help rebuild the self-confidence
that
summer school can erode by providing activities in which all children
can excel.
Oasis has developed a large library of unique lesson plans that incorporate
literacy and
analytical skill development into activities that also promote self-esteem,
creativity and
physical fitness.
Our community-oriented approach to youth development targets a wide
range of
outcomes for young people, enhancing social competence and social understanding,
reducing teen violence, drug use and teen pregnancy, and supporting
the educational
process in the classroom.
Although parent contributions are possible, our school-based summer
enrichment
programs are typically funded through school districts or other sources
of public
funding.
