Meals
Children bring lunch from home and have a picnic in the park every day. Oasis refrigerates the lunches, provides plenty of water and serves a morning and afternoon snack.
Staff
MThe Oasis staff are a big part of our outstanding spirit. We are a mixture of teachers, coaches, college students, and program specialists. Our adult to child ratio is 1 to 5. Each group of 15 children has 2 group leaders. An additional staff person, a specialist, runs each specific activity in which the children participate. A team of Division Leaders act as supervisors and every site has a nurse or EMT as well as a team of certified lifeguards. Oasis senior staff members participate in trainings throughout the year and college undergraduates have the opportunity to take an in-service training course during the summer for which they can receive up to four college credits.
