Fee-based Camps Employee Checklist

| Submit an online application | Mid-December 2011 through June 2012 | Applications will be reviewed as they are submit and interviews will be scheduled on a rolling basis. Interviews typically occur 2-4 weeks after submitting an application. |
| Schedule an Interview | January 2012 through June 2012 | After applying, applicants will be contacted in 2-4 weeks via email to schedule an interview. Some applicants may be required to schedule a second interview. |
| Accept Job Offer | January 2012 through June 2012 | Interviewed applicants will be contacted 2-3 weeks after the interview regarding a potential job offer. Applicants should respond via email ASAP to accept or decline a job offer. |
| Sign Summer Contract Electronically | January 2012 through June 2012 | Applicants will be emailed a summer contract after accepting the job offer, which must be signed electronically. Applicants should sign the contract ASAP or within a week to secure their position. |
| Complete Employee Health Record, W-4s, and Job Descriptions | January 2012 through June 2012 | Applicants will be emailed copies of the forms that need to be completed. These should be completed before the start of the summer and mailed in to Oasis Headquarters. |
| Mail, Email, or Fax certifications to Oasis Headquarters* (if applicable) | JJanuary 2012 through June 2012 | All swim staff, Health Directors, and Leadership Staff must send in copies of their current certifications at the time of the interview or immediately after accepting a position. Expired certifications need to renewed. Contact staff@oasischildren.com with questions. |
| Register for a Lifeguarding Certification Course* | April 2012 through June 2012 | Lifeguard certification is offered by Oasis for applicants who have previous swimming and/or swim instruction experience. You must be interviewed and accepted into the Lifeguard Certification program in order to be eligible for course registration. Visit Become an Oasis Lifeguard for more information. |
| Renew WSI, CPR, RTE, Lifeguarding and EMT certifications* | (if applicable) | January 2011 through June 2011 All swim staff, Health Directors, and Leadership Staff need to have updated certifications valid through August 2011. CPR certifications must have been issued AFTER August 2010 in order to be valid for Summer 2011. Contact staff@oasischildren.com with questions. |
| Attend Pre-Summer Trainings for Leadership & Instructors | May 2012 through June 2012 (several dates) | Training schedules will be posted online and emailed to staff. Trainings are position-based and mandatory for all staff. |
| Attend the Summer Launch | June 2012 (1 day) | The Summer Launch date for each site will be posted online and emailed to staff. Attendance is mandatory for all staff. |
| Attend the Pre-Camp On-site Training | June 2012 (3 days) | The dates for On-site Training at the camp site will be posted online and emailed to staff. Attendance is mandatory for all staff. GLYP participants MUST attend as a part of the required course hours. |
