All applicants must attend a school in District 16 of Region 8. Priority is given to students who attend PS 25, PS 335, MS 35, JHS 57 or MS 143. Students that meet these criteria are accepted on a first-come first-serve basis. We must have all the forms of the application for students to be accepted to the program. Please Note: we will let you know if your child is waitlisted for the program.

Hours
The program runs from 8:30am - 4:45 pm.

Rainy Days
When the weather is bad, children enjoy a number of indoor activities. Some may travel with our staff to local attractions while others spend the day at the school doing arts and crafts and utilizing the gym.

Meals
Breakfast, lunch and a snack will be provided to all campers.

Staff
We have a 5:1 ratio of campers to staff and 4:1 with our youngest groups. Each group of 15 children has 2 group leaders and an instructor with them throughout the day. We have bathroom and traveling procedures that ensure the children stay together. Everyone who is affiliated with Oasis wears an Oasis T-Shirt so we can be identified easily in public. Should a child ever get injured we have a nurse/emt on site to handle any type of minor medical situation. Oasis hand picks its staff from thousands of applicants; each college-aged individual is interviewed and placed in a position that best fits their abilities. These adults have a passion for children and a desire to make a difference. In addition, everyone we hire must complete our CBT (computer based training) program and participate in a 4 day pre-camp training session where they learn all of our policies and procedures; along with other fun camp activities.

Group leaders- Are college aged, usually studying to be teachers, social workers or nurses; all of them with the desire to make an impact on the lives of children.

Instructors- Master's Level professionals or teachers who are specialists in the area they are instructing. They will have many years of experience working with and teaching groups of children of all ages.
